The HK45 or Heckler & Koch 45 is the evolution of the USP and was designed for the United States military trials to replace the M9. The large caliber is enough to take out most hostiles in one or two shots, and the higher capacity and only marginally lower reload speed is a major advantage for taking out rooms of hostiles quickly. When compared to the Mark 23, the single point of increased reload speed and 2 round lower magazine capacity the HK45 does not have enough benefits to prevent it from being essentially pointless.
