The Breaching Charge is a explosive device which blows up doors and kills people within 4 m behind the door. Two breaching charges are provided per utility pouch slot. The charge must be planted by the trooper and separately detonated by the player. This can be very awkward for players who do not pause or change plans. The breaching charge is an extremely quick method of entering a room and troopers can fire immediately which is not possible when kicking a door.
